Purchase terms

These terms apply to purchases on knieses.ch: Knieses Workshop and Mink Unlimited. Purchases in the App Store (Aevum Unlimited, Vivere Unlimited and Workshop in Aevum and Vivere) are governed by Apple's terms and the EULA of each app.

1. Who sells, who licenses

You buy from Stripe as the seller (merchant of record, reseller). Stripe handles payment, taxes, invoices and refunds. Your purchase contract is with Stripe under its terms for end customers. The software is developed and licensed by Knieses (Swen Knies and Leon Knies, Bellach, Switzerland); these terms govern how you may use it.

2. Knieses Workshop

A subscription (CHF 3 a month or CHF 20 a year) grants a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use every feature of every Knieses app, on Mac, iPhone and Windows, while the subscription is active. Today that is Mink, Aevum and Vivere. New Knieses apps are included at no extra cost.

The subscription renews automatically at the same price until you cancel. You can cancel any time via Manage your licence; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. After a period ends, the features stay available for 7 days of grace if a renewal has not been paid yet. We announce price changes at least 30 days before they apply to your next renewal. You can cancel before then.

3. Mink Unlimited

A one-time purchase (CHF 20) grants a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use every feature of Mink 1.x, including every 1.x update, on the Macs and Windows PCs you personally use. The licence has no end date. Mink confirms it with our licence server from time to time. If we ever shut down the licence server, we will first release a Mink 1.x update that unlocks Unlimited permanently without checks.

4. Licence keys

After your purchase you get a licence key, on the thank-you page and by email. There is no account; your email address at checkout is enough to get a new key or manage your subscription. Keep your key to yourself. If you ask for a new key, the old one stops working. We may block keys that were refunded, charged back or obviously shared in public.

5. Prices and taxes

Prices in Swiss francs, VAT included. The price at checkout is the price you pay.

6. Refunds and right of withdrawal

Refunds are handled by Stripe as the seller. If an app is not for you, write to us within 14 days of purchase at contact@knieses.ch and we will arrange the refund. For consumers in the EU and the UK, the right of withdrawal for digital content and waiving it at checkout follow the checkout terms of Stripe Managed Payments. A refunded licence ends, and the apps go back to their free features.

7. What is never deleted

When a licence ends, our apps never delete your content because of it. Anything beyond the free features stays visible and works again as soon as you have a licence again.

8. No warranty, liability

The apps are provided as they are. To the extent permitted by law, liability for slight negligence is excluded. Mandatory consumer law remains reserved.

9. Law and jurisdiction

Swiss law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). Place of jurisdiction is Solothurn, Switzerland, subject to mandatory jurisdictions for consumers.
